Acden hosts Your McMurray Magazine Top 50 Under 50 Awards

On November 24th, Acden was the presenting sponsor and host of the Your McMurray Magazine (YMM) Top 50 under 50 awards, recognizing trailblazers and community builders in the region.

Each year, the YMM Top 50 are chosen by a selection panel of community leaders, past recipients, and the Balsom team. The award celebration took place at Acden’s headquarters and saw almost 200 attendees come through the doors to celebrate.

“Trailblazing is one of the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nations’ six traditional values. We are very proud to be the presenting sponsor of this event and celebrate the trailblazers who make our region such an incredible place to call home” says Garry Flett, Chief Executive Officer.

As an Indigenous corporation, Acden’s traditional values stem from supporting the community and taking care of each other. Many Acden employees embody these same values at work and at home. Kayode Titus (Systems and Network Administrator Specialist) and Marsha Titus (Language Services Coordinator with the Multicultural Association of Wood Buffalo) were recognized with a YMM Top 50 under 50 award for leading with kindness and building an inclusive support network for those in need.

“Congratulations to Kayode Titus on being a recipient of a YMM Top 50 under 50 award. Kayode is an integral part of the Acden IT Department who is always friendly, engaged and willing to assist his teammates” remarks Lash Phillips, IT Director.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event such a success. A special thanks to Colleen Stewart, Community Relations Advisor, for her tireless efforts in making event magic happen at Acden.
