On August 23, more than 2,000 community members came together for the sixth annual Acden Show & Shine, creating a day filled with community spirit, incredible vehicles, and a shared commitment to supporting those who need it most.
Hosted by Acden and the Centre of Hope at the Acden building, this year's event welcomed 125 vehicles, brought together support from 72 businesses and organizations, and raised a record-breaking $57,823.70 in profit for the Centre of Hope.
The annual fundraiser has grown significantly over the years, becoming a highly anticipated community event that celebrates both automotive enthusiasm and local generosity.
“It’s pretty special to see what the Acden Show & Shine has become over the past six years,” said Garry Flett, President and CEO of Acden. “I’m so proud of the organizers, sponsors and volunteers who make this event happen, and grateful to the community for continuing to show up and make it such a celebration of community care.”
The funds raised will directly support the Centre of Hope and its Drop-In Centre, helping provide essential services, support programs, and pathways toward stability for individuals experiencing homelessness in the region.
For the Centre of Hope, the event demonstrates the impact that can be achieved when community members, organizations, and businesses come together around a common purpose.
“The Show & Shine is a great example of what can happen when our community comes together,” said Rosie Keating, Executive Director of the Centre of Hope. “We’re incredibly grateful to Acden, our sponsors, volunteers, vehicle owners and everyone who came out. Their support makes a real difference for people in our community who need it most.”
The success of the event was driven by the collective efforts of sponsors, volunteers, vehicle owners, organizers, and attendees, all of whom played an important role in reaching this milestone fundraising achievement.
As the event continues to grow, so does its impact. Acden is proud to support initiatives that strengthen our community and improve lives, and we extend our sincere thanks to everyone who helped make this year's Show & Shine the most successful one yet.
We look forward to building on this momentum and welcoming the community back next year for another unforgettable day of cars, connection, and community giving.
Huge thanks to this year's photobooth sponsors Cmplizty and Clark Builders.
